The Chemicals Between Us chapter 1

Fucking Diva

I sat in the car impatiently tapping my fingers against my thigh. I sighed and glanced at my watch; I was waiting outside High Desert State prison. Nason and I had driven up there to get Ronnie when he was released. Ronnie Radke. The singer of my new band, Falling In Reverse. I loved all the other guys in the band; Nasty and I were like best friends after spending so much time together the previous few weeks.

As for Ronnie, I hadn’t met him yet. But what I heard about him was enough for me to never want to meet him. An arrogant douche was the last thing I needed in my life. You could say I was less than enthusiastic about meeting Ronnie Radke. I rolled my eyes as Nasty walked toward the car, a huge smile plastered to his face and Ronnie with his messy black hair and sparkling brown eyes, skipping alongside Nasty happily.

“This is Ronnie!” Nasty said opening the passenger side car door and gesturing toward the beaming brunette.
“Nice to meet you,” I muttered forcing a smile.
“You guys have no idea how amazing it is to be out of that fucking place.” Ronnie announced, taking a cigarette from Nasty and putting it to his lips. He sat in the passenger’s seat and exhaled the smoke deeply, “Can we get some food?” He asked glancing at Nasty.
“Yeah, I’m starving anyway.” He replied sitting in the driver’s seat and starting the car.

We ended up going to Taco Bell, because Ronnie demanded it. And the whole ride there he just went on and on about how much the world must have missed him. Fucking diva.
“I gotta piss, be right back.” Ronnie said, leaving Nasty and me to order.
“So what do you think of him?” Nasty inquired turning to me.
I quirked an eyebrow at him and pursed my lips in thought, “Well he’s umm…interesting.” I answered with a slight laugh.
“Interesting?” He laughed and shook his head, “I know he can be a lot to deal with sometimes. But he’s a good guy.”
I nodded and rolled my eyes, “Sure.” I agreed.
“Jacky I’m serious. I love the guy like he’s my brother. You just have to get used to him.” He reassured me with a smile.

That was the first time I met Ronnie Radke. I hated him from day one, and now a year later, I still hate him.

Here's something I made to go along with this story for your amusement:

Place: my room
Feeling: depresseddepressed
